BLACKPINK’s “BORN PINK” Ties Record For Longest-Charting Female K-Pop Album Of 2022 On Billboard 200

Two months after its launch, BLACKPINK’s “BORN PINK” remains to be going robust on the Billboard charts!

Back in September, BLACKPINK grew to become the primary feminine Ok-pop artist ever to achieve No. 1 on the Billboard 200 when their newest studio album “BORN PINK” debuted on the high of the chart.

On November 15 native time, Billboard revealed that “BORN PINK” had ranked No. 118 on its Top 200 Albums chart for the week ending on November 19, marking the album’s eighth consecutive week on the chart.

“BORN PINK” is now tied with TWICE‘s “BETWEEN 1&2” for the longest-charting 2022 album by a female K-pop artist on the Billboard 200, with both albums having spent a total of eight weeks on the chart so far this year.

BLACKPINK is also only the second female K-pop artist in history to have more than one album spend eight weeks on the Billboard 200 (after TWICE). The group’s first album to chart for eight weeks was “THE ALBUM,” which went on to spend a formidable 26 weeks on the Billboard 200 after its launch in 2020.

Outside of the Billboard 200, “BORN PINK” held regular at No. 34 on Billboard’s Top Current Album Sales chart and No. 46 on the Top Album Sales chart in its eighth week on each charts.

Additionally, BLACKPINK’s hit pre-release single “Pink Venom” climbed again as much as No. 10 on Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales chart this week, along with rating No. 44 on the Global Excl. U.S. chart and No. 81 on the Global 200.

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK’s newest title observe “Shut Down” stayed robust at No. 35 on the Global Excl. U.S. chart and No. 66 on the Global 200.
